Learn key child development theories and temperament styles to support healthy growth in the first five years.

This webinar introduces key child development theories and temperament styles, focusing on how they shape a child’s growth during the first five years of life.  Participants will explore how understanding these theories helps promote cognitive, emotional, physical, and social development.  Emphasis will be placed on recognizing how temperament influences behavior and how adults can adjust their responses to create a “goodness of fit” that supports healthy development.

Objectives:

  • Identify and describe the 7 key child development theories and their specific focus on early childhood growth.
  • Understand the role of temperament in child development and how it influences behavior and learning in the first five years.
  • Discuss strategies for achieving a “goodness of fit” between a child’s temperament and adult responses to support healthy development.
